Default My RS Turbo project.

Right, had this car for what seems like forever, just seem to do bits and pieces then change my mind and put it away again, lol.

Decided to at least try and get a car together to put on the stand and track it whenever I can, but I'm gonna have it for a while so no rush

Anyway, got it out last month and decided to just put a 2 litre zetec in it for now, hopefully gonna turbo it at some point on cossie management. So out came the motor and box.

Old Set-up

And then

When I took the box out found it was fooked and also a lack of an LSD, so not a turbo box(its been at least 4 years since i have drove it). So quick run over to Blackpool with London and his lass got me a turbo box.

Lick of paint and its ready to go in once I've found an engine to go in it.

Took off a few bits that had overspray on and cleaned them up and give em a lick of paint

New brake pipes in, need an adjustable brake bias valve if anyone has one,

Put some stickers on today to change the look a bit, before (with wheels)

After (on stands, no wheels)

Thats it for now but will try and keep up to date as and when i do more.

P.S. found some pics of younge's car from when i had it.

Cheers, it's not immaculate but for something to be getting on with its not bad. Might have a word with jacko at some point about a few odds and sods, thinking about tiger stripes for it.

Yeah mate, we all know why its been this long. Some of it is my fault though cos i got the grey one instead of doing this one and ended up trying to keep that one running, lol

Just need to fit the box and get an engine/ECU/harness inlet and exhaust sorted now.

Right got an engine sorted for this now but just need to ask if anyone, younge or jacko maybe?, knows where to drill the oil return and breather.

Pretty sure the oil return goes here (ringed)....

But what about the breathers on the rear...

Any input appreciated.

P.S. Anyone got an 18mm drill bit i can borrow? (saves me getting one just for this)

Right, looks like I'm gonna have to mod my inlet cam with me going coilpack with my cossie management. Can anyone tell if these 2 pegs are at 45 degrees before and after TDC on this pic?

Looks like I can still use the Zetec sensor, just wanna be sure I put the pegs in the right place.

The pic above was quoted as saying "this was done to work with Marelli cosworth management, so replicates the sensor that would be in the cossie distributor.
The original Zetec sensor target is a single lobe on the cam which is no use to Marelli, so got ground off
Both systems use the cam sensor to indicate the absolute engine position in the 720 degree 4-stroke cycle.. EEC4 uses a single lobe, Marelli uses 2 lobes, but they both perform the same function.

Looked at doing that for my zetec. The cam pins look a but naff. Thats the one off the zetecturbo site. Problem is there not adjustable so they need to be set up spot on.

Right, decided I am not going to use the cossie management. Gonna go with Megasquirt now so it might be a bit longer before it sees the road. Had it long enough a few more months won't make a difference, lol.
